British Hills x Asano Twisted Yarn Collaboration Towel

Original towels to contribute to reconstruction assistance and SDGs in Fukushima Prefecture.

British Hills (Ten-ei-mura, Fukushima Prefecture), a member of the Kanda Gaiyo Group, will sell original towels produced in collaboration with Asano Twisted Silk Co Ltd, which operates a twisted yarn factory, as part of its support for the reconstruction of Futaba-machi, Fukushima Prefecture. By expanding sales of this product, the company will contribute to supporting the reconstruction of Fukushima Prefecture and the achievement of the SDGs (Goal 12 “Responsibility to Create, Responsibility to Use”, Goal 15 “Let’s also protect the abundance of land”, etc.).

The material used is from the Daximete Futaba series, which was jointly developed by Futaba-machi, Fukushima Prefecture, and Asano Twisted Yarn Co. Using Asano Twisted Yarn’s patented SuperZero® (magic twisted yarn) technology, this environmentally friendly product uses 37.5% less yarn than towels made with normal yarn of the same thickness. They are lightweight, soft, quick-drying and highly absorbent. Collected towels are supplied as raw material for recycled cotton, and part of the sales of the Daximete Futaba series is used for tree-planting activities in Futaba-machi, contributing to the achievement of the SDGs (Goal 12: “Responsibility to Create and Use” and Goal 15: “Let’s also Protect Land Abundance”). The collaborative towels will be available at the Victorian Alley gift shop in British Hills and online.
