Households (detached) Demand response and remote control implementation project Smart EV charger Wallbox Pulsar Plus
YourStand is working with МC Retail Energy to remotely control household (detached) EV chargers.
In October 2024, МC Retail Energy started offering a new electricity plan ‘Daytime Wattoku Plan (Hiru Wattoku Plan)’ and ‘Daytime Wattoku CO2 Free Plan’, which provide customers with an efficient charging environment. The demonstration project started on 13 December for the installation of dedicated EV chargers (Wallbox Pulsar Plus and installation costs) required for the use of the Daytime Watt Gain Plan (Hiruwatteku Plan) to EV (BEV/PHEV) users.
What is Wallbox Pulsar Plus?
The Pulsar Plus is a smart charging system that combines cutting-edge technology with outstanding design to provide the best charging experience for EV users worldwide, with variable outputs ranging from 1.2 kW to 8 kW, allowing users to charge at higher outputs to reduce charging time, or at lower outputs to save on electricity costs.
The Daytime Wattoku Plan uses demand response and charging control to charge EVs at the optimum time. Specifically, charging is controlled when electricity supply and demand are tight, and automatically recharged during times when electricity is available (when electricity is cheap), thereby both solving social issues through increased renewable energy and enabling EV users to enjoy the benefits.
Furthermore, this system is an initiative that contributes significantly to GX (Green Transformation) and promotes the effective use of clean energy by charging EVs (BEVs/PHEVs) with high electricity consumption during the daytime (9:00-15:00). In addition, as household electricity demand peaks in the evening and at night, avoiding recharging during these times will contribute to optimising the balance between electricity supply and demand in society as a whole.
This initiative is a project adopted by MC Retail Energy as part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s ‘Early social implementation support project for the creation of GX-related industries’.
